When the man starts drinking lots of alcohol, his personality takes a turn for the worse. He starts physically and verbally abuse his wife and the pets without reason. „I grew, day by day, more moody, more irritable, more regardless of the feelings of others. At…

Many people think that witches own black cats. Why only cats though? This is because in ancient Pilgrim times,…

Rationale and scope: - Why is something as beautiful as a black cat considered to bring bad luck? I remember this time, when I saw a band of children throwing stones at a cat, which was pitch black on the streets because of the belief that their parents have passed on to them, that black cats bring bad luck. Superstitions are irrational and I think a change must be made. The main reason why I am choosing this topic is because it is something that isn't spoken about on an everyday basis,…

The similarities between the Black Cat and the Tell-Tail Heart is that in the Black Cat the cat was so scared that he would run away from Rob Green from what he did to the cat “deliberately cut one of its eyes from the socket! I blush, I burn, I shudder, while I pen the damnable atrocity”(Poe). In the Tell-Tail Heart the old man's eye “He had the eye of a vulture --a pale blue eye, with a film over it” (Poe) was so big that it bothered him all he wanted to do was get rid of the eye in both…
