The Purpose of this Lab: The purpose of this lab was the help the experimenter gain a better understanding of consolations by helping the experimenter be able to identify the circumpolar constellations, understand the effects of earth’s rotation on viewing consolations, be able to use the Sky Map app, and to describe the characteristics of an astronomy photograph. Description of the Materials: Within this lab, the experimenter uses the Sky Map or SkyView in order help label and identify various…
In this extension experiment there were a few errors that occurred in some of the trials. This is to be expected as perfect sterile techniques are unable to be achieved in the conditions provided. This is also why it was chosen to do three trials of each antiseptic so when errors do occur they can be easily recognised as anomalies. In the Domestos trials the main error was in the second plate where no results could be found for any of the four sections. As can be seen in the photo a small…
A system called CWEED, which measures energy in Ontario and it can "provides solar global measurements as the total of direct and diffuse radiant energy received by a pyranometer." (Hoicka, Rowlands,2011). Therefore, an efficient system can determine whether citizens have easy access to reliable energy or not. However, in some developing countries…
Questionnaire-related Measurement Error Questionnaire- related measurement error could have occurred in a couple questions within our survey because of the way that the questions were worded and the possible answers that were listed. One of the questions where this occurred was in question 8 that asks, “Should the U.S. immigration laws be made stricter, looser, stay about the same, or are you uncertain?” This represents a questionnaire- related measurement error because this question does not…
For, example, final volume of the mean volume of 10ml of water is calculated to 10. ; Analysing the density vs temperature graph as temperature increase the density will decrease. In graph above show that when temperature is 160C our density is 0.998 in other hand temperature is 19.00C and density is 0.9972.Random errors in this particle are measuring the water…
and blew through the end that was capped by the finger. The free floating bubbles were allowed to descend to the ground where their diameter was measured by a ruler. We found the averages by adding both the measurements of each solution in each test and dividing them by the number of measurements, two. For example: 1.25+1.30+1.20=3.75/3=1.25 average. There were multiple steps taken to prepare our data taken for analysis. Throughout our study, we took observations on the solutions and their…
Standardized Testing Is a Flawed Measurement Standardize testing fails at its one and only job. The ACT and SAT are standardized test, which are taking by high schooler’s as a requirement for college acceptance. Chiefly, the testing evaluates the primary subjects, including math, science, reading and writing. However, the testing material is fashioned by the financially-driven testing business, that is a multi-billion-dollar industry. No surprisingly, the testing industry charges…
J. Connolly et.al [28] also propose a wearable rehab technology for automatic measurement of patients with arthritis. They put forward the ideas surrounding the development of an accurate hand measuring tool to assist medical clinicians and rheumatologists in the accurate measurement of finger and thumb movement of the human hand. Angle measuring instruments, tape measure and grip strength dynamometer are used to assess the joint range and function of a patient to determine their hand function.…
meaning of, and relationship between, “reliability” and “validity” ? • Reliability is the extent to which a measuring tool gives consistent results. Reliable means to be consistently accurate, also describes as the absence of random error during measurement. There are three types of reliability: items of reliability, stability, and interobserver. • Validity is the extent to which a measuring tool measures what is supposed to measure. The process of validation includes verifying evidence…
explained in the “slope intercept” form from above. We used what the variables meant above to calculate our unknown quantity, k, in the rearranged equation of our mathematical model below: k=(mg sinθ)/∆x Predicted Graph Mass vs Change in…
