Driving a car and riding a bus may seem similar at times but in reality, they are very different. Owning a car is much different from simply buying a bus pass each day. There are certain benefits that each provides over the other. Although driving a car and riding a bus may get a person to the same destination, they are different in the ways of comfort, cost, and privacy. One of the biggest differences that people will mention is that being in a car is considerably more comfortable than riding on a bus. A tremendous participant in this is the comfort that a car seat provides that one cannot get from a seat on a bus. The seats in a car are able to be adjusted which allows a person to be at a comfortable angle and height, a contentment that a bus seat does not provide. Not to mention, people can adjust the temperature of the car until they are at ease. This way they can be assured that they are not going to be overheated nor will they be at a colder temperature. One last comfort that is immense is the fact that one does not have to alter their schedule to fit in with the schedule of the bus. This allows the person to operate and create their own schedule for their day. In compliance with the popular belief, riding the bus is cheaper than driving a car. The costs that come along with owning and driving a car can quickly add up to be more than one can afford. Typically, a bus ticket can get a person to their destination and then back home, all with the one time payment. Some…
Movie adaptations of books are meant to bring to life the reader's imagination while still staying true to the book. Both the film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) and the novel written by Roald Dahl are similar in many ways, they also have differences. While both versions present corresponding themes, the movie adds more detail and depth to the characters than the novel does. There is nothing in the novel that isn’t in the movie, however there are additional scenes in the movie that…

Malcom X once said “Envy blinds men and makes it impossible for them to think clearly.” This quote almost perfectly encapsulates the theme of these two short stories. “All Summer in a Day” by Ray Bradbury and “The Necklace” by Guy de Maupassant. In Brabury's short story, once every seven years the rain on Venus stops and the sun is able to shine bright. One day Margot, a new girl who just recently came to Venus from Earth, is being bullied by her classmates for keeping to herself. The other…
reason for this was because of the difference between the writings. The synoptic gospels were considered similar, but John did not really contain the same similarities that the other three writings had in common. The two works that I am going to compare are Mark’s gospel and John’s Gospel. First off, the gospels all sought to do the same thing, which was to detail and explain the life and death of Christ. The reason for writing four of them is simple. Each writer had his own distinct…

As Governor Bradford of Plymouth stated "Thus out of small beginnings greater things have been produced by His hand that made all things of nothing, and gives being to all things that are; and as one small candle may light a thousand, so the light here kindled hath shown unto many, yea, in some sort, to our whole Nation" (Jamestown and Plymouth: Compare and Contrast). This was the most important and main comparison between the two colonies. However, the main difference between the two was that…
was surprised and excited especially when I saw the huge size and the number of seats, and when I came to U.S.A. My favorite teacher (Prof, Tom) took us to visit U.F Stadium. Today, I would like to compare and contrast both of them from the size, the design, and the concession stands. First of all, I would like to compare the size between Damascus International Stadium and Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The size of Damascus International Stadium is very different…
