Ice Lake is one of my favorites. The trailhead for Ice Lake starts in Silverton/Ouray, and from there it is an eight mile hike, and a 2,430 elevation gain. We were staying in Ouray at the time, when we did the hike. Before the hike, we got lots of water, food, and candy.
