In the novel “Animal Farm” there were seven commandments that the animals had to know. The animals knew and had to abide by these commandments. In life, we have a lot of unwritten “commandments” that we should abide to as well. A few of those commandments are: 1.) Speak when entering a room. 2.) Respect your elders. 3.) Treat others how you wish to be treated. 4.) Cover your mouth when coughing, sneezing, etc. 5.) Don’t be in people’s personal space. 6.) Put your phone down when you’re supposed to be doing more important things. 7.) Get it in writing. Those are just a few unwritten rules of life, but they are also very important. Trust you me, none of that will be going on in my families’ houses! “Respect your elders” is another rule of life. I…

One of the newest songs by Katy Perry is Rise. This song has many meanings and is completely different from her other songs. Katy’s other songs are fun, and meant for parties. This song in particular has a very deep meaning to it; to rise above your fears. ” I know that together we can rise above the fear – in our country, and around the world.” – Katy Perry (McCreesh). Katy has been working on this song since her last album in 2013, and decided to finish this year. This is the first song she…

Did you miss me.....the way his deep and smooth voice said that made my legs feel like they were jelly as I grab a hold of Lysander. I felt my foot step ahead one after the other as I realize I was running towards him, arms wide apart reaching forward to him. I launched myself to him arms wrapping around his throat and the feeling of his strong arms wrapping themselves around my body. I left my head up grabbing a hold of cheeks, I look down at him into his warm brown eyes that gaze back at me…

In this paper, I aim to examine the similarities and the differences between the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 of the U.S. and the Thailand Labor Protection Act of 1998, amended 2008. Although I will not go into every section of each law, I will discuss the major provisions of each law and then analyze how the two laws play significant roles in determining the labor rights between the U.S. and Thailand. From the selected provisions of each law, I will attempt to draw a conclusion on how,…
