Georgia Tech Moneythink is a local chapter of the national organization Moneythink. Moneythink is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to restore economic health in the United States using financial and career education by training interested and motivated college volunteers to serve as mentors and role models to low and middle income high school students. The program is a 21 week program that focuses on giving high school students the decision making power and knowledge to take on real-world financial situations that they will eventually have to face. (Maybe put in examples of curriculum). The curriculum consists of weekly hour and a half classroom meetings with our students that consists of mentors being assigned a group of 3-5 students for the entire curriculum to ensure enough personal attention and relationship building to the students. An innovative way of making the lessons relevant outside of the classroom is through the use of the Moneythink Mobile app which is a way for the mentors to hold the mentees accountable by giving the mentees challenges, which act as homework, that help apply the classroom teachings to applicable real world scenarios. At Georgia Tech, our local chapter currently has two programs, one within Georgia Tech and another with Cristo Rey High School. The program within Georgia Tech is in conjunction with Georgia Tech’s Excel Program, a program at Georgia Tech for students with mild intellectual and developmental disabilities. (Describe…

The face of Nicholas Easter was slightly hidden by a display rack filled with slim cordless phones, and he was looking not directly at the hidden camera but somewhere off to the left, perhaps at a customer, or perhaps at a counter where a group of kids hovered over the latest electronic games from Asia. Though taken from a distance of forty yards by a man dodging rather heavy mall foot traffic, the photo was clear and revealed a nice face, clean-shaven with strong features and boyish good looks.…

Though I was born in the 90s I have little memory of the 90s so I am not obligated to say that I am a true 90s kid. I am more of a 2000s kid. So, now you’re probably thinking, she’s going to go with the 2010s cartoons being better. However, I did say 2000s; which is in the middle of the 1990s and 2010s. The view of marriage that is being displayed in this story is that it’s a woman’s place to stay at home, do what is told, and don’t ask for nothing. This story completely paints an opposite picture of the modern day roles as a man and woman and what each person should be doing and contributing in the relationship. Through three scenes I am going to show you how this marriage is an old fashion union between two lovers. When Mrs. Mallard created her own peep hole and decided to become a peeping…

After looking at Maternal Deaths 1990 v. 2000, it is important to look at the number of maternal deaths in 2011 compared to those in 1990. Just like before, the relationship between the two variables is if the data point is above the regression line then there was more deaths in 2011 than in 1990 and vice versa (Figure 5). This makes sense because higher the y-value the lower the x-value and it is the same the other way around. For this data, the least square regression equation was…
