“Don’t practice until you get it right, practice until you can’t get it wrong.” Alex Morgan. This quote isn’t just inspirational, it could be a motto to life, and for Alex Morgan I believe it is. Throughout her youth, Alex Morgan enjoyed an assortment of activities, but adored soccer. She was born on July 2, 1989 in San Dimas, California, but resided in Diamond Bar. Just 25 miles away from LA — her entire childhood. She lived with her two older sisters Jeri, who was four years older than her and Jenny, who was six years older. Her parents Pam and Michael Morgan encouraged her in everything she did from softball, which she played until she was nine, to other activities she did. She started to play recreational soccer when she five, and was extraordinarily quick. She started playing competitively at 14. She was rejected by the first club she tried out for, they informed her that she only had raw talent. She wasn’t discouraged though, she tried out for the Cypress Elite soon after and made the team! Alex tore her ACL when she was 17, but that didn’t break her. She attended Diamond Bar High school and was a star player. She went to Berkeley and was playing for the US National Team by her senior year. Alex Morgan is a celebrated soccer player with loads of accomplishments on and off the field. In 2008, she was on the U20 National Team that dominated the U20 World Cup. In 2009, Alex Morgan was the youngest player on the US Women’s National Team (USWNT). By 2011, Alex was the…
