My first symbol is the books. Maddy has spent all of her life locked in her house and in that time she read a lot. Choosing the books as a symbol shows what Maddy does with her time in the house. Then having my second symbol as the ocean shows where she wants to go. I chose the ocean because throughout the book and her time she spent talking with Olly she always talked about seeing the ocean and traveling. The picture of the book shelve shows my first symbol. The first picture of the ocean shows my second symbol. My first theme is love. I chose the theme love because of Maddy and Olly. In the trailer, it shows that Maddy loves/likes Maddy when she wants to see the world with Olly. Also, when Olly finally gets to see Maddy in person. Another reason I chose love because how much her mother cares for her. I chose my other theme as decision making because everyone in the book has to make decisions. Maddy has to make the decision of leaving her mom and nurse, and risk dying. Olly has to make the decision of leaving with Maddy. Throughout the trailer, I show my themes with word choice. Also, using some pictures. I show my first theme which is love in the picture of the two people sitting in the palm tree. Also the pictures of the girl and her mom and the picture of the girl and her nurse. My conflict is that Maddy can not go outside but she wants to. I show the conflicts with the pictures. The picture of the hand on the window shows my conflict. I showed my mood through my…

Channel Orange One of the artists that has inspired me to produce my own music is Frank Ocean with his second album, Channel Orange. The first time that I ever listened to the album back in 2012, I remember thinking, “Holy shi*t…I have never heard anything like this before in my life.” Telling a song-by-song story, his poetic lyrics about his personal sexuality, strip clubs, pregnancy, wealth, drugs, and corruption show Frank’s slightly strange perception of it all. That is one thing that…
