File

A digital document that will have a file name and type.

File Name

CC Carbon Copy

A facility that allows you to copy other people into your email. It is generally just for information only, they wouldn't be expected to reply.

BCC Blind Carbon Copy

A facility that allows you to copy other people into your email but the main recipient is unaware of this.

Alignment

The positioning of your text or images. This is usually to the left, right or centre.

Font

Style of text eg Arial

Print Preview

A tool that allows you to check the overall appearance of your document.

Formatting tools

Tools that allow you to change the appearance of your work eg bold text, adding a coloured background etc

Text wrapping

A feature that allows you to surround an image with text - it lets you wrap the text around it!

These go across on a spreadsheet and are numbered.

Column

These go up and down on a spreadsheet and are lettered.

Cell

A box on a spreadsheet where you input data. It will have a cell reference.



Formula

Used to perform calculations on a spreadsheet. Always start with an = and use + - / * as operators.

Graph

A facility on a spreadsheet to present information in a visual manner.

Copy and paste

A facility that allows you make a duplicate of an image, text or document and put it somewhere else.
