DNA Replication

The process of producing two identical replicas from one original DNA molecule

Interphase

-Longest and 1st phase of cell cycle(98%)

Mitosis

Asexual reproduction of a cell. 1 parent cell divides into 2 daughter cells. Includes PMAT

Prophase

1st stage of mitosis. Nuclear envelope dissapears and centrioles send out spindle fibers

Metaphase

2nd stage of mitosis. Spindle fibers attach to chromosomes and pull them to the middle of the cell

Anaphase

3rd stage of mitosis. Spindle fibers pull chromotids apart and towards opposite ends of the cell

Telophase

4th stage of mitosis. Nuclear envelope reappears and cell is almost ready to completely divide

Cytokinesis

Last phase of the cell cycle. Cytoplasm divides and creates two new genetically identical daughter cells.
