True or False:

When the Instant VM Recovery is performed in the Hyper-V environment, Veeam Backup & Replication uses the Veeam vPower technology to mount a VM image to the host directly from a compressed and deduplicated backup file.

False

Registers the replica on the target host. 4. Registers the replica on the original host. 5. Syncronizes the replica with the original VM.

Reverse Incremental

Backup After a full VM backup is created, subsequent backups are incremental. All the changes are "injected" into the created .vbk file, to rebuild it to the most recent state of a VM.

Forward Incremental

After a full VM backup is created, subsequent backups only save changes that have taken place since the last performed backup. These changes are saved as incrmental backup files next to a full backup. Additionally, synthetic and/or active full backups "split" the backup chain into shorter series.

Forever Forward Incremental Backup

This backup method produces a backup chain that consists of the first full backup and a set of forward incremental backups following it.

What does the Veeam WAN acceleration mechanism rely on?

Global data deduplication
