Fire in the Engine Room
Reduce RPM to neutral and secure both engines.

engineer checks engine room, aux space and lazarette for obvious flooding damage,
engineer checks for proper cooling water circulation or debris in raw water strainers,
crew checks foreward compartments for flooding/obv damage
cox conducts steering checks
cox checks rpm in neutral and engaged checking for vibration/flooding
Coxswain maintained engine RPM below range of vibration, if necessary. If vibration is too severe, secured engine.
cox notify station.
Loss of Main Engine Lube Oil Pressure
Reduced RPM to clutch ahead on both engines.
Identified affected engine, notify crew, secure affected engine,
Verified current position, evaluated situation,
and contacted station
Crew members rigged the anchor for emergency.

Engineer, checked engine room with the CCTV
System.
Engineer entered engine room with crew member standing by with fire extinguisher as safety observer
Checked bilge area for lube oil.
Checked entire lube oil system for leaks
Checked engine oil sump for quantity andquality
