-they would ask the colonial assembly for a certain amount of money -colonial assembly debates the requisition and if accepted the colonial assembly would tax the colony and the money was given as a gift -sometimes the requisition would be denied -colonists viewed it as a satisfactory system, but British government did not-blamed this on a lot of their debt issues |
