I noticed you were maintaining proper egress in your load. I am glad that you took the time to clean up the walkpaths even though you were backed up. I recognize them when I notice somebody demonstrating a safe behavior such as using a load stand or a safety chain, or when using an at risk behavior such as not maintaining proper egress or throwing packages. I recognize my employees daily.

I need to keep my area safe and not let unsafe behaviors go unnoticed. I need to step in and make the effort to keep my employees safe.

Looking for broken or non-functional securing station. No missing tags or stickers. Guards are closed and locked. Exceptions addressed immediately by P.E. Do not operate equipment until repaired. Check twice daily. Pre and post sort.

9. In a tornado, hurricane or earthquake where do you assemble your employees.

Tornado: Pit of the Primary. Hurricane and Earthquake is the nearest interior wall. Notified by word of mouth.

10. Explain what you would do if a package is generating smoke, fumes, or is otherwise irritating?

Don't touch, Secure my area by keeping employees away. notify a designated responder.

8. Place retainer strap in "retainer ready position" secure the top left and top right fitting in the highest slots on the left side of trailer, nearest the door.


9. Position load equipment, rollers, loader 24 or 20, chutes.


10. Obtain load stand as dictated by conditions.

1. Maintain mental picture of space available in the package wall.


2. Select the next package to load from one of the next five available.


3. Minimize walking by letting the equipment bring the package to you.


1. Scan all packages and small bags (scan one load one method).


2. One motion scan package and check service level.


3. Listen for tone to verify package can be loaded.


4 Do not turn or position package for scanning unless necessary.

2. Position Label up, out towards the rear or in towards the center of the trailer.


3. Always attempt to place opening of the box up.


4. Orient boxes so that the ribs or furrows (flutes) are vertical to prevent damage to a package.


5. Follow orient instructions printed on box, arrows or this side up.
