What is Hard temper tube (lengths) What is soft temper tube (roll/coil) |
Hard temper tube is generally recommended for exposed lines, such as hot and cold water supplies to fixtures or any lines suspended on hangers. The rigidity of the hard temper tube resists sagging and deflection stresses between supports
Soft temper tube is preferred for lines buried underground or laid in floors, because of its flexibility. The flexibility (annealing) allows the tube to give or flex if ground movement occurs. Soft temper tube can be manipulated through small holes and is ideal for remodelling and repair work of piping system |
