Evolution is when a frequency of an allele in a population changes over time, it occurs by natural selection.

• Individuals within a population vary because of different alleles due to gene mutations.
• Some are better adapted to the environment and are therefore more likely to survive, reproduce, and pass on their genes.
• A greater proportion of the next generation inherit the beneficial allele and are also more likely to survive, reproduce and pass on the genes.
• The frequency of the allele increases from generation to generations
