Chapter 1- The Science of Deduction

•Watson expresses his concern for Holmes and his drug use.

•Miss Morstan is introduced


•She tells Holmes about the mysterious disappearance of her father, the recieving of pearls once a year for six years and the arrival of an anonymous letter

•Holmes has spent the afternoon investigating


•Miss Morstan arrives and takes Holmes and Watson with her to the Lyceum Theatre


•They are met by a man who takes them to the suburbs

•They meet Thaddeus Sholto


•He confirms that Morstan's father is dead


•Sholto reveals the truth about The pearls and a mysterious treasure

Chapter 5- The Tragedy of Pondicherry Lodge

•Holmes and the crew go to Pondicherry Lodge with Thaddeus


•They discover that Bartholowmew Sholto is locked in his room


•They discover Bartholowmew has been murdered by a poison thorn and that the treasure has been stolen

Chapter 6- Sherlock Holmes Gives a Demonstration

•Holmes investigates the scene


•They establish that a man with a wooden leg and a child sized person committed the crime


•Athelney Jones arrives and blames Thaddeus for the murder, whilst Holmes says it is Jonathan Small

Chapter 7- The Episode of the Barrel

•Watson takes Miss Morstan home and collects the dog, Toby, from Mr Sherman


•Holmes goes onto the roof to work out how the suspects got in and finds a bag of poison darts


•Toby leads them on a wild goose chase

Chapter 8- The Baker Street Irregulars

•Holmes deduces that Small had hired a boat from Mordecai Smith's boatyard


•The Baker Street irregulars arrive and are paid by Holmes to search for the steam launch

•An old sailor arrives and claims to have news to Watson. The sailor is Holmes in disguise
