What is a Tendon?

Tough Tissue that is flexible but inelastic of stranded tissue

Where are tendons found?

Where a muscle is attached to a bone

What do tendons do ?

They attach muscle to the bone allowing and facilitating locomotion

What is a Ligament ?

A short band of tough flexible fibrous connective tissue

Where are Ligaments found?

Anywhere that bones are connected

What do Ligaments do ?

Ligaments Connect 2 bones or cartilages


They Can also hold together a joint

What is Cartilage ?

Strong but flexible support material


It has an abundance of collagenous fibres within a rubbery matrix
