Self Defense #1
Inside
Step forward to the attacker's inside with fight foot forming horse riding stance.
1. Twist to have palm facing down and pull wrist inward.
2. Right horizontal elbow strike to the body.

Switch
Step forward with left foot
1. Strike attacker's grabbing arm with left hand/forearm while rotating wrist to weak point of grip. Pull in right arm to release.
2. Left horizontal elbow strike to the body.

Step out diagonally to your right.
1. Twist to have palm facing up and fan the hand outward (thumb first) to escape the grip.
2. Right hand knife-hand strike to the neck.

Step forward with right foot
1. Push right hand down, when attacker resists, then quickly pull up.
2. Strike down with a hammer fist to attacker's forehead.

1. Swing right arm inward slightly then quickly redirect outward in a circle to break attacker's grip and push attacker's hand downwards.
2. Same arm, circle again to wind up and then strike attacker's jaw with elbow.

1. Make right hand into a fist.
2. Reach in with left hand and grab the fist. Push down and then pull up to break grip.
3. Strike downwards with knife-hand strike to the head.

C-Lock
1. Swing both hands inward and up placing your left hand on top of attacker's hand.
2. Step out diagonally to your right while escaping the grip on your right hand. Left hand places the attacker's hand in a lock using your thumb to push outward and down. *Attacker's arm forms a "C" (90 degrees at the elbow and at the wrist).

S-Lock
1. Swing right arm counter-clockwise. Left hand grabs attacker's hand while right hand escapes.
2. Right hand on the attacker's forearm twisting clockwise/downwards and left hand directing the attacker's hand (with the finger's pointing up) toward the attacker's chest.
*Wrist is 90 degrees to forearm, forearm is 90 degrees to elbow in an "S" position

Failed S-Lock
Same as #8 but assume that attacker's elbow does not bend.
1. Swing right arm counter-clockwise. Left hand grabs attacker's hand while right hand escapes.
2. Continue counter-clockwise rotation until attackers palm faces up, grab attackers hand with both hands (thumbs pointing upwards in same direction of attackers fingers).
3. Rotate to left and towards opponent while maintaining a 90 degree angle between attacker's pam and arm.

Bouncer Grip
1. Step back with left foot while pulling attacker off balance by grabbing attacker's wrist with left hand.
2. Spin around so that you and the attacker are facing the same direction while bringing your right arm underneath the attacker's arm. Grab the attacker's hand with your hands locking the wrist while pressing attacker's elbow into your side.

Z Lock
1. Grabbed hand twists underneath to end up palm to palm with attacker's hand while your left hand is placed on top opponent's hand.
2. Keep opponent's arm in bent position (like letter Z) and twist clockwise while walking around attacker.

Gentle Roll
1. Swing both hands inward and up placing your left hand on the top of attacker's hand.
2. Escape the grip on your right hand while left hand grabs the attacker's wrist.
3. Use your right hand to gently roll the attacker's fingers into the wrist.

Simple Break
1. Swing both hands inward. Left hand hits and grips the attacker's wrist while right hand twists and escapes.
2. Step across the attacker's elbow with right arm/shoulder to break.

Hand on Shoulder
1. Step right while using your left hand to grab attacker's elbow.
2. Pull attackers hand onto your right shoulder while freeing your right hand from grip and sliding your right hand to where your left hand is (on attacker's elbow).
3. Pull down on attacker's elbow to break.

Under Armpit
1. Grab attacker's hand with left hand.
2. Rotate hands and body counter-clockwise to get attacker's' arm underneath your right armpit.
3. Pull up on opponent's arm like a lever while pushing down against elbow to break.

1. Step back with left foot while pulling attacker off balance by grabbing attacker's wrist with left hand.
2. Then right hand reach over attacker's arm making sure to cross above attacker's elbow while turning to face the same direction as your attacker and grab your own bicep, forearm, or shirt.
3. Use your left hand to pull his arm down to break the elbow.

1. Grabbed hand twists out to end up palm to palm with attacker's hand while your left hand is placed on top opponent's hand "pancaking" his left hand between your palms and bending attacker's wrist backwards 90 degrees.
2. Left foot step forward in a horse riding stance while raising left elbow underneath attacker's elbow for the break.

Elbow on Shoulder
1. Swing attacker's arm inward while grabbing the attacker's wrist with your left hand. Spin around so that you are facing away from the attacker.
2. Bring attacker's elbow onto your left shoulder for break.

"Scratch your back"
Variation on number 16.
Instead of going underneath attacker, Twist wrist inwards while bringing arm up, to start getting attacker's elbow bent and up towards head.
Next use left arm to grab attacker's wrist. Grab wrist in position like holding a cup, and continue bringing attacker's elbow by head.
Now use free right hand to push attacker's elbow and throw him to ground.

"Scratch my back" Outer spin
Step forward with left foot and rotate attacker’s hand inwards and up and grab his wrist with the left hand palm up.
Release your right wrist and step under his arm with your right foot maintaining hold with your left hand. Allow opponent’s wrist to rotate in your grip and turn around after stepping.
Push him backward by using your right hand to push on his raised elbow.

Figure 4 into take down
Same entrance as number 15 (grab your own wrist), attacker “bends” his elbow, so you counter by spinning clockwise and driving your clasped hands over his shoulder which forces him to the ground.

"L lock" Inner spin entry
Grab opponent’s wrist with your left hand and step back with left leg and pull attacker towards you.
Step under his arm with the left foot while simultaneously grabbing his left forearm with
your right hand to bend his elbow.
Turn to face his back and rotate his arm behind his back to form an “L” while putting a choke hold with your left arm.
Kick his left knee out to drop him to the floor.
Switch as you step back with opposite foot of grabbed side. Enter inner rotation and L lock.
Remember to have the hold the sword lock.

Hold the sword
Same entry as L lock but finish by employing the clockwise wrist break in number 10.
Straight throw, cutting with sword motion.
Switch hands and hold the fingers with other hand and the original hand is on the elbow to throw
attacker backward.

Pull as step back.
Instead of switch hand goes behind the head.
Leg stepped back with steps around the head and turn step and throw to the ground.

Double wrist grab #1
Right foot step back. Right elbow tucked to your side. Right hand grab the attacker's wrist as you pull them off balance and left hand escape and then follow with an elbow strike to the face.
Can do it sideways, going forward towards them finishing with elbow strike to the side of their body in the ribs. Or shooting the escape hand to the side of the attacker's head on the other side and grab their head and bring them down onto knee.

As you step back, rotate both of your hands to the outside of the attacker's wrists with your thumb leading and twist inward and down to bring the attacker's down then follow up with knee to the face/head

Switch move and release one of the hands. Grab the attacker's other wrist quickly and tie in a knot, breaking elbow and throwing to the side.
