Marbury v. Madison 1803

Art.3 Sec.2 Marbury was Justice of the Peace in District of Co. He didn't his letters from Pres.James Madison so he went to the S.C. They said his claim was based off of something unconstitutional. Helps establish how checks and balances work.

Art.1 Sec.10 two guys who teamed up against eachother. fletcher sued peck for selling him land he didnt have the title to. He wanted to lose by the supreme court saying that indians dont hold the land and that he did. helped legal contracts.
