Sterilisation

Complete destruction of all micro- organisms including spores

Critical

The device will penetrate the skin or mucus membranes, enter the vascular system or sterile space

Semi- critical

The devise will be in contact w mucous membranes it May become contaminated with readily transmissible organisms - these devices require high level disinfection or sterilisation
