Fascism
A "right-wing" political system in which is based on NO political participation of its citizens.

Individual economic freedom is limited, as the government (people) will control large portions of the economy and run it in the interests of a select group of citizens.

There is little/no individual freedom to operate in the economy.
Social Democracy
A "left-wing" political system in which is based on full political participation of its citizens.

Individual economic freedom is limited slightly.
The government (people) will control some portions of the economy and run them in the interests of ALL citizens.
Democracy
A political system characterised by:

meaningful elections
(people pick their leaders)

a means of giving citizens a say in the running of the country

a generally free and open society

economic freedom (people able to make their own economic decisions)
Liberal Democracy
A "right-wing" political system in which is based on full political participation of its citizens.

Individuals are free to operate in the economic sphere with VERY LITTLE government regulation.
There is very little governmental involvement in the economy.
Communism
A political system in which all members of the society are equal partners.
Politics -The system is based on the idea of TRUE DEMOCRACY.
Economics-In theory, all of the people will work for the common good.
Libertarianism or
Classical Liberalism
A "right-wing" political system which is based on LIMITED political participation of its citizens. Only certain members of the society are involved

Individual economic freedom is unlimited.

The government places NO restrictions on the economy. Laissez-faire capitalism.
Socialism
A "left-wing" political system in which is based on full political participation of its citizens.

Individual economic freedom is limited, as the government (people) will control large portions of the economy and run it in the interests of ALL citizens.
Dictatorship
-A politica system in which citizens are not allowed to chooses their leaders.
-The people have no say in the running of their country (laws).
-Often the leaders are members of the military.
-There are few political or economic freedoms.
