What does Murray think of lone parent families having benefits?

Murray believes is encourages 'perverse incentives', this may encourage fathers to leave their families because they feel their family will be supported, so won't need them. It also means that their children, especially sons will become anti-social, irresponsible children with no male role model - which increases crime rate.

Perverse incentives

What do feminists think of Murray's view?

Feminists believe that Murray's view is sexist and suggests that women can not raise their children successfully free from the patriarchy of men. Fran Ansley believes that 'women are takers of ****' and it's better for them to leave the relationship that continue in a relationship full of inequality. Feminists argue that the nuclear family is not 'natural' but socially constructed

Patriarchy
