-Primary Sector Occs: good pay, good benefits, authority, autonomy.
-Seconday Sector Occs: unstable jobs, bad pay, no benefits, no otj training so employees are easily turned over.

What is Segmented Labor Market Theory?
-Employers (primary sector) wanted to divide and conquer their workers
-Employers dont want their workers to realize common interests (lead to strikes etc)

-Job Queu: most attractive jobs at top
-Occs flip sex comp when it loses or gains attractiveness (change in tech or reorganization)
What is Cultural Devaluation Theory?
-Because females are devalued in society, stereotypical feminine traits and jobs that females work are also devalued.
