Knock before entering, ID Resident and Self, Address Resident by Name and explain the procedure, speaking clearly, slowly, and directly, maintaining face to face contact whenever possible

***SCC says: assemble equipment (wash basin, liquid soap, lotion, towel, and 2 washcloths) position resident into Semi-Fowlers with knee flexed, WASH HANDS***

Before washing, checks water temperature for safety and comfort and asks client to verify comfort of water
