There are 5 functions of the skeletal system. These are Mineral Storage site, Support, Movement, Protection and Blood Cell Protection and Storage. There is 206 bones in the human skeleton

The skeleton is made up of 4 different types of bones. These are long bones which are the longest in the body, short bones which are the shortest in the body, flat bones which provide protection and irregular bones which consist of cancellous bones.

The skeleton is made up of two main parts. they are: The axial skeleton forms the axis of the body, and the appendicular skeleton which is made up of the shoulder, arm, hip and legs.

Smooth muscle: Found in hollow organs

Cardiac muscle: Found in the heart, muscle fibers. Skeletal muscle: Attaches to and causes movement of the skeleton.

There are 3 types of connective tissue. They are Cartilage which is smooth, slightly elastic tissue. Tendons attach muscles to bones, inelastic, strong. Ligaments cross over joints, joining bone to bone, slightly elastic.

There are 3 types of Muscular contraction. Isotonic contractions - Contractions change the length of the muscle while creating force.Isometric contractions creates force but the length of the muscle doe not change. Produces most amount of force of any muscle contraction
