Catalog and Catalog Rights
the rights of a student to be held accountable only for graduation requirements in place at the time that they entered the university or community college. These rights protect the student from the university adding additional requirements to the degree before they graduate. If requirements increase or are added then students under their original catalog are not accountable for the new requirements.
Relationship between catalog rights and continuous enrollment
(Continuous enrollment is defined as attending school at least one semester per academic year. If a student is not enrolled in classes 2 semesters in a row they have broken enrollment. If you break enrollment the university DOES NOT have to honor your original catalog and you fall under the current catalog in use when you return to school)
