What is a cell?

The building blocks of life, the smallest unit if an organsim

What are the main components if an animal cell? What are there functions?

Nucleus - contains the genetic material


Cytoplasm - where chemical reactions take place


Cell membrane - controls what moves in and out of the cell


Mitochondria - where desperation takes place

What does a plant cell contain?

Cell wall - strengthens and supports


Vacuole - contains cell sap, keeps the cell firm


Chloroplasts - contains chloraphyll where photosynthesis takes place
