Boundaries

Can be visible or invisible; they basically separate one system from another.

Natural System

Refers to systems found in nature.

1- Prefix "Atmos" refers to the gases that surrounds and protect the Earth.




2- Prefix "Hydro" refers to water.

Cryosphere



Prefix "Cryo" refers to the ice on the land, in the oceans (glaciers), etc.

Biosphere

Prefix "Bio" refers to living or life. Considers all living things.

Geosphere

Prefix "Geo" refers to the land; the land is made of rocks, soil, sand, silt, clay, etc.

Biogeochemical

A pathway through which chemical elements travel through the biota (living) or the abiota (non-living)
