Define Physical Health

refers to the efficient functioning of the body and it's systems, includes the ability to perform acts and tasks of physical fitness

Define Social Health

being able to interact with others and contribute to the community in both an individual and cooperative way

The state of well being where an individual relieses his or her own abilities, can deal with the normal stresses of life and can contribute to the community in a productive and fruitful manner

Disability Adjusted Life Years of a measure of burden of disease. It is calculated by adding Years of Life lost and Years of Life Lost due to Disability. One DALY equals to one year of healthy life lost due to premature death, injury or disability

The physical surrounding in which we live, work and play. The physical environment includes water and air, workplaces, housing, roads, nature, schools, recreation settings and exposure to hazards

A measure of the impact of of a disease and injury, specifically it measures the gap between current health status and an ideal situation where everyone lives to an old age free of disease and disability Burden of disease is measured in a unit called a DALY

an individual's or a population's overall health, taking into account various aspects such as life expectancy, amount of disability and levels of disease risk factors

Define Incidence

The number of new cases of a disease during a specified time period, usually 12 months

Define Life Expectancy

An indication of how long a person can expect to live, it is the number of years of life remaining to a person at a particular age if current death rates do not change
