What is a Hordeolum and it's Treatment? |
AKA: Stye, Its an infection of the sweat glands in the eyelid can be internal or external. Looks like a red, swollen, tender area on the eyelid. They are painful. Stye's tend to be unilateral meaning they only affect on eye not both. Tx: Warm compress 4xd, with antibacterial ointment. |

Application of an Ocular Compress: Steps |
-Wash your Hands -Fold clean washcloth into fouths -Soak in warm water -place over closed eye -keep in place with minimal pressure -refold the washcloth, so a different fourth will be held. -resoak -Repeat |
