A deacons role is to assist the bishop. They are usually assigned by the bishop to work in a parish and help in the care of the faithful. They have the power to administer the sacraments of baptism, witness marriages, visiting the sick, and counseling the bereaved.

A cardinal is an honorary title given to bishops, but sometimes priests even laymen.The primary function of cardinals is to elect the Pope. They also assist in the Roman curia.

It consists of many administrative and judicial offices by which the Pope directs the church.

A bishop is a person who is in charge of a diocese.

The chief pastors of the Church are the Pope and the bishops in union with him.

Holy Orders is the Sacrament by which a man is configured to Christ and is given the power to continue the apostolic ministry as a bishop priest or deacon.
