The right to vote

Whigs (know a person as well)

People who supported Adams were known as whigs. Wanted government to spur economic growth. (Henry Clay and Daniel Calhoun were whigs)

Democrats (know a person)

Jackson and his supporters were called democrats. People who believed in equality for all people and ruling by the majority. John C. Calhoun was a democrat.

From west (Kentucky) Leader of War Hawks. Whig. Ran for president 3 times and lost.

Whig party. From New England. Opposed Jackson and the democrats.

Andrew Jackson

7th president of the US. Forced the Indian Removal Act.

States Rights

The right of states to limit the power of the federal nation
