• What is a plea bargain? |
It is an agreement between the prosecutor and the accused in which the accused pleads guilty in exchange for a lesser sentence or a reduced charge |

What are the advantages of plea bargaining? |
-reduces uncertainty -offer accused the freedom of choice -saves money (main benefit from the states point of view) -fairer in some ways -less people have to serve on jury -good for someone who is guilty |
