Designof Experiments (DOE)

Statistical method... Allows you to make several different combinations of changes rather than one change holding all things constant (ceteris paribus). This method helps to identify which factors may influence specific variables of a product or process under development. DOE should be used during the plan quality management process to determine the number and type of tests and their impact on cost of quality.

Gantt Chart

Type of bar chart - the image that MS Project displays by default next to the project schedule

Pareto Chart / Diagram

Type of chart that contains both bars and a line graph, where individual values are represented in descending order by bars, and the cumulative total is represented by the line.

Pareto diagrams rank-order the most important factors by their frequency over time, and are typically displayed as a histogram.

Which KA does 'Estimate Activity Durations' Fall under and what are the processes in that KA?

Time Management (not scope!). PlanSchedule Management, Define Activities, Sequence Activities, Estimate Activity Resources, Estimate Activity Durations, Develop Schedule and Control Schedule.

In which KA do you create the WBS?

Scope (not Time Management). The WBS produces the Scope baseline. Then the process kicks off again in Time Management with Defining Activities (step 2).
