Started by Andrew Alexander Kroeg Jr., Lawrence Harry Mixson, and Simon Fogarty Jr., "Non Fraternity", 15 men joined the organization, outline of the hand was symbol for meetings, after elections only 7 men stayed loyal.

December 10, 1904 the 7 loyal members met at 90 broad street to form Pi kappa Phi, the 7 loyal members were: Andrew Alexander Kroeg Jr., Lawrence Harry Mixson, Simon Fogarty Jr., A. Pelzer Wagener, Thomas F. Moismann, Theodore Barnwell Kelly, James Fogarty.

Mixson wrote the firt meetings minutes in dark green ink, Simon Fogarty Jr. created the idea for the membership, Kroeg became the first Archon.
