Atropine Sulfate
Stops salivation, given preoperatively. For Bradycardia, improves lung function. Blocks vagus nerve, increases HR.
Aminoglycosides
for serious infections. antibacterial meds.
Thiopentothal Sodium (Pentothal)
Barbituate, only given by anesthesiologist. Short acting (unless there is a lot of fat) affinity for fat tissue = long acting med.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Anticoagulant, thins blood. Plasma protein binding drug. (do not want to give simultaneously with Asprin)
