Clear

Back 1

Proceed not exceeding Normal Speed

Approach Limited

Back 2

Proceed approaching the next signal at limited speed

Front 3

Limited Clear

Back 3

Proceed at Limited Speed until entire train clears all interlocking or spring switches then proceed at normal speed.

Front 4

Approach medium.

Back 4

Proceed approaching the next signal at medium speed.

Front 5

Advance Approach

Back 5

Proceed prepared to stop at the second signal. Trains exceeding medium speed must begin reduction to medium speed as soon as the engine passes the Advance Approach signal.

Front 6

Medium Clear

Back 6

Proceed at medium speed until entire train clears all interlocking or spring switches then proceed at normal speed.

Front 7

Medium Approach Medium

Back 7

Proceed at medium speed until entire train clears all interlocking or spring switches then approach the next signal at medium speed. Trains exceeding medium speed must begin reduction to medium speed as soon as the medium approach Medium signals clearly visible.

Front 8

Approach Slow

Back 8

Proceed approaching the next signal at slow speed. Trains exceeding medium speed must begin reduction to medium speed as the engine passes the approach slow signal.

Approach

Proceed prepared to stop at next signal. Trains exceeding medium speed must begin reduction to medium speed as soon as the engine passes the approach signal.

Medium Approach

Back 10

Proceed prepared to stop at the next signal. Trains exceeding medium speed must begin reduction to medium speed as soon as the approach Medium signal is clearly visible.

Slow clear

Back 11

Proceed at slow speed until entire train clears all interlocking or spring switches then proceed to normal speed.

Front 12

Slow Approach

Back 12

Proceed prepared to stop at next signal. Slow speed applies until entire train clears all interlocking or spring switches then medium speed applies

Front 13

Restricting

Back 13

Proceed at restricted speed until the entire train has cleared all interlocking and spring switches. (If signal is an interlocking or CP signal) and the leading wheels have.:

Passed a more favorable signal or entered non signaled DCS territory.

Front 14

Stop and Proceed

Back 14

Stop then proceed at restricted speed until the entire train has cleared all interlocking and spring switches (if signal is an interlocking or CP signal ) and the leading wheels have:

Passed a more favorable signal or entered non signaled DCS territory.

Where identified by special instruction or where a letter G or R is displayed in addition to a number plate as part of these aspects, freight trains may observe the signal as though restricting were displayed.
