|
1. prophy and rinse the surfaces of teeth to be bonded
2. air dry thoroughly 3. etch enamel for 15 sec 4. rinse with water 5. air dry thorougly 6. apply thin coat of primer on tooth 7. apply adhesive to bracket base 8. seat and position bracket on tooth - remove excess adhesive 9. light cure adhesive |

cement for bands, lingual retainers, and large acrylic appliances

Steps to using band-loK
|
1. Prophy the teeth to be banded
2. Rinse, dry and isolate 3. Acid etch NOT required but will increase strength required for high stress applicances 4. Roughen the outside of the band (with microetcher or carbide bur) 5. Apply bandlock to the inside of the band - make sure the entire inside of band is covered (use spatula provided to help) 6. Seat band and clean off any excess flash. 7. Shine light on surface for 1 second to make paste rubbery -> remove excess 8. Position light tip in close proximity to occlusal surfaces of the tooth and band interface. 9. Moving it in slow circles around top of band, light cure for 30 seconds. |
