This cyst-like structure is found on a panorex in the area of the lower 2nd and 3rd molar area and beneath the mandibular canal.
Stafne

Pseudocyst
This cyst started out as an infected tooth (abscess).
Radicular
aka Periapical
This cyst is found mid-root between teeth that are otherwise not infected; in fact, they may be "virgin" teeth.
Lateral Periodontal
This aggressive cyst is usually very large and may appear similar to a cancerous tumor on radiographs. A biopsy shows keratin cells in the fluid.
Odontogenic Keratocyst
This cyst surrounds an unerupted lower third molar or other unerupted teeth.
Dentigerous
This cyst is always found as a pear-shaped lesion between the upper lateral and cuspid.
Globulomaxillary
This cyst is the result of entrapment of epithelium at the junction of the maxillary processes.
Mid-Palatine
On a radiograph one can see radiopaque particles forming in the lumen of the cyst.
Calcifying Odontogenic
This cyst is seen on a radiograph as an enlargement of the foramen that exists normally between the upper central incisors.
Nasopalatine
This cyst forms in a follicle in which no tooth bud develops.
Primordial
A tooth with a cyst was extracted but not all of the cyst came with the tooth. This cyst is the result.
