Tonic neck reflex: fencer position
when the newborn is supine and the head is turned to one side, in the extremities on the same side straighten and the opposite flex
Moro reflex
when a newborn is startled by a noise or lifted slightly above the crib & suddenly lowered, it responds by straightening arms & hands outward while knees flexed (newborn-6 mos)
Grasping reflex
newborn will grasp and hold an object or finger that stimulates the palm
