Apnea
Cessation of breathing for a few minutes.
Bradycardia
"Brady"=slow "Cardia"=heart
rates below 60bpm

When the intervals between beats vary enough to be noticeable.-Single beats or group of beats.
Eupnea
People who have respirations that fall withing normal parameters.
Hypertension
Persistently higher than normal BP.
Hyperventilation
Occurs when rapid and deep breathing result in an excess loss of CO2.
Hypotension
When systolic blood pressure is less than 100mmHg
Hypothermia
When core body temp. drops below <96.8
Inhalation
Expansion of the chest cavity and lungs, which creates negative pressure inside the lungs causing air to be drawn in through the nose, mouth, and airways.
Orthostatic Hypotension
When a person's BP drops suddenly upon moving from a lying position to a sitting or standing position.
Tachypnea
Also called polypnea-Abnormally fast breathing.
Ventilation
Airing out a space or room of unpleasant odors.
Sphygmomanometer
Vinyl or cloth cuff,a pressure bulb w/ a regulating and manometer.
Tachycardia
"Tachy"=rapid "cardia"=heart
Respiration
The act or process of inhaling and exhaling; breathing. Also called ventilation.
Systolic pressure
The peak pressure exerted against arterial walls as the ventricles contract and eject blood.

Paradoxical breathing
...
