-Elevated probability of loss


-Requires special attention and/or intervention to prevent a declining situation


-May imply a dangerous situation

What type of courses are considered high-risk

(RAC) Risk Assessment Code of 1 or 2 as well as an assignment of RAC 3 in Severity Level 1or 2

Voluntary Training

A Sailor has voluntarily and has the ability to Drop on Request and return to original rating

Involuntary Training

Sailor is enrolled thru the accession training or follow-on specialty skills school

Explain DOR

Drop on Request


-student may quit the training and only has to make intentions known. Student will be removed immediately


-written summary of action taken is entered in the students record and a copy is kept by the training command

Explain TTO

Training Time Out


-when a student or instructor has a concern for safety or needs procedures/requirements clarified.


-training will stop until the situation is safe

Purpose and requirements of the EAP Emergency Action Plan


Internal plan to be done immediately in the advent of a mishap to aid involved persons and control/safeguard the scene. Conduct quarterly walk-throughs and fully exercise/validate EAPs annually.

Safety stand down requirements

Once a year at minimum. Additional ones can be held at the discretion of the CO
