Describe the origin and insertion of the tibialis anterior muscle

Origin-Lateral condyle and upper 2/3rds of the lateral surface of the tibia. The interosseous membrane and the deep crural fascia
Insertion- Medial plantar surface of the medial cuneiform and base of the 1st met. |

What nerve innervates the tibialis anterior?

The Deep fibular (peroneal) nerve

What are the functions of the tibialis anterior?
|
Dorsiflex and invert at the ankle. Also a suppinator (adduction and inversion) at intertarsal joints

Describe the anotomical position of the EHL
|
Just lateral to Tibialis Anterior. The anterior tibial vessels and deep peroneal nerve lie between it and the tibialis anterior.

Describe the origin and insertion of the EHL
|
Origin: Middle 2/3rds of the anterior surface of the fibula, medial to origin of EDL.
Insertion: The base of the distal phalanx of the 1st digit and an additional slilp into the base of the 1st met. |
