Phagocyte

Cells that protect the body by ingesting harmful bacteria

The process of a phagocyte destroying foreign material.

Process of administering vaccines either by injection or swallowing

A foreign substance that enters your body and stimulates production of antibodies against it.

Bacteria, viruses or fungi that causes diseases.

Contains a weakened or inactive form of the pathogen which gives rise to mild disease symptoms. Which gives immunity to serious forms of the disease.

A small infectious agent that only replicates in the cells of other living organisms.
