supports the helicopter when on the ground, and cushions the helicopter from shock while landing
main landing gear
consists of dual-wheel landing gear, has a servicing manifold with a pressure gauge and air fill valve. it is located on the left side of the heliopter's tail cone. the manifold provides nitrogen pressure indication and servicing capabilities of the tail shock struck.
tail landing gear
is located stbd side of aircraft above cabin door. it provides a means of rescuing downed personnel. the two types are breeze eastern and bf goodrich.

accessory section module
contains gearing to reduce engine shaft speed from 20900 rpm to 5750 rpm. the output quill shaft in each module then drives the main transmission module main bevel pinion. it is lubricated by oil from the main transmission module.
input module
consists of housing containing two bevel gears, supporting bearings, and internal oil passages

this is connected to the ENG power sont lever in the cockpit. it is used to start the engine, to manually set gas generator speed from ground idle maximum, and to shut down the engine.
PAS- power available spindle
this is similar to operation of pressure refueling with pwer applied. the only physical difference between this and pressure reueling is that fuel is applied to the hilicopter through an extension hose assembly that is connected to a check valve during HIFR operation as opposed to through the pressure fuel receptacle during pressure refueling.
