Old: Hadol, Thorazine, Mellaril
Side Effects: TD is irreversible and causes involuntary movements of the face, tounge, mouth, or jaw

New : Risperdal, Seroquel, Abilify
Side Effects: Very Expensive. Can cause weight gain, affect blood sugar, and lipid profile
Biopolar Disorder
Mood Stabilizers: Lithium, Tegretol, Depakote, Lamictal
Side Effects: Weight gain, lithium can cause kidney and throid problems
Depression
SSRI's (Selective Serotinin Reuptake Inhibitors): Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil
Atypical Anti: Wellbutrin, Cymbalta
MAO Inhibitors: Nardil, Parnate

Side Effects: Have fewer side effects, several weeks to be effective, are expensive, can cause a loss of libido, and can lose effectiveness.

Atypical Anti: Wellbutrin does not cause loss of libido

MAO inhibitors: Not commonlu used as they require a special diet to be safe

Drugs: Ativan, Xanax, Klonopin

Side Effects: Effective, Quickly releives anxiety, used short term

Drugs: Amphetamine- Ritalin, Adderall
Non-Amphetamine: Strattera

Amphettamine: Relevies Systoms quickly. Can take these medications partially if desired, can be absued, supress appetite and cause weight loss

Non- Amphetamine: Less Appetite suppressing, takes longer to be effective, must take everyday
