Side Effects: insomnia, stomach upset (take with food), headache, nervousness/anxiety, dizziness, diarrhea, and excessive sweating

Other Antidepressants

Side effects: seizure activity (space doses as far apart as possible) headach, constipation, weight loss, dry outh, excessive sweating, tremor, dizziness, faster heart rate, agitation, blurred vision

Tardive Dyskinesia

Lip smacking, rapid tongue movement, uncontrolled chewing movements, increased heart rate, dizziness

Possible side effect of antipsychotics

Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome

High temperature, hypertonic muscles, catatonic, fast heart rate. CRITICAL SITUATION, transport to ER immediately

Possible side effect of antipsychotics

Serotonin Syndrome

agitation, restlessness, confusion, increased heart rate and blood pressure, dilated pupils, loss of muscle coordination/twitching muscles heavy sweating, diarrhea, headache, shivering, high fever, seizures, irregular heartbeat, unconsciousness.

Possible side effect of antipsychotics

Occurs when taking medications that cause high levels of serotonin to accumulate in your body. can occur when increasing dose of such a drug or add new drug to regimen

Metabolic Syndrome

cluster of disorders comprising obesity (central and abdominal), dyslipidemias, glucose intolerance, insulin resistance, and hypertension. Highly predictive of type 2 diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease

Parkinsonian Symptoms

tremor, rigidity, slower movements, loss of balance, drowsiness, facial tics, sudden involuntary muscle movements, blurred vision, fever, lack of sweating, difficult urination, constipation, depression, confusion

Side Effects: indigestion, nausea, vomiting, elevated enzymes, blurred vision, drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, diarrhea, sedation
