Inferior to Thoracic Cavity Subdivided into abdominal and pelvic cavities w/ no clear structure indication where one stops and the other begins. Organs protected by membrane covering called the peritoneum. Contains stomach, liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, and portions of colon and intestine. |
