SIT TEMP

Graphic depiction of assumed adversary disposition, based on adversary doctrine and the effects of the battlespace if the adversary should adopt a particular course of action. MCOO + Threat Temp

THREAT TEMP

Depicts how the threat might utilize its capabilities to perform the functions required to accomplish its objective.

EVENT TEMP

A guide for collecting planning, depicts the named area of interest where activity, or its lack of activity, will indicate which COA the enemy had adopted. SIT TEMP 1 + SIT TEMP 2

A description of the indicators and activity expected to occur in each named area of interest.

The Operations Process

The major mission command activities performed during operations: planning, preparing, executing, and continuously assessing the operation.

Types of Command Posts

Main Command Post: Facility containing the majority of the staff designed to control current operations, conduct detailed analysis, and plan future ops.


Tactical Command Post: Facility containing a tailored portion of a unit headquarters designed to control portions of an operation for a limited time.


Command Group: Consists of the commander and selected staff members who assist the commander in controlling operations away from a CP.


Early Entry Command Post: Lead element of a headquarters designed to control operations until the remaining portions of the HQ are deployed and operational.
